Schipper Design
The Bulleit Group
2020 Silicon Valley American Advertising Awards
The Bulleit Group is a tech consluting agency who solves big problems for big companies, the likes of Google, Farmers Insurance, and Nest…and their old site did not reflect their innovative philosophy and services. They wanted a site that was going to demonstrate their prowess, but would also be easy for all users to navigate.
Problems We Solved
We teamed up with Schipper to provide a creative user experience that conveyed Bulleit’s leading edge aspirations and abilities through an easy to update CMS and a series of flexible page templates.
Interactive Extras
Movement was the focal point in this design. Wavy patterns, parallax layers, animated transitions and even an interactive “particle” header for the homepage all contributed to the fluid sense of movement.
MedTech Women
2020 American Web Design Awards™ Graphic Design USA
MedTech Women sought a website that was able to showcase their annual MedTechVision event in Menlo Park, CA, along with a robust database of their 200+ speakers that was easy to navigate and search.
Problems We Solved
We utilized highly customized deployment of Custom Post Types and Custom Taxonomies to provide a robust Speaker’s database, the ability to filter by Topic and Activity, as well as a javascript-driven Live Filters.
Interactive Extras
The designer behind this site envisioned an “offset” layout that would “break the box”. We implemented a subtle parallax effect on the offset elements to provide a sense of depth to the design.
Artio Medical is the manufacturer of microscopic devices to help with blood clotting and occlusion. Undergoing a rebrand, they needed a website to showcase their product.
Problems We Solved
Artio wanted a content framework that anybody in their office could manage. Their new content management system is now so easy to update that employees have been able to edit content with almost no prior training.
Interactive Extras
Each product page contains an interactive “component” breakdown, where users can highlight individual components of Artio’s products to understand each part of their devices.
San Juan Bautista
Schipper’s hometown needed a new website to replace their previous website from the late 90’s(!). Bringing their best, Schipper created a highly elegant and engaging design that would serve to showcase SJB’s various attractions, restaurants, stores, lodging and more.
Problems We Solved
Doubling as an informative brochure site for the city, the website also had to behave as a vendor directory. We leaned on WordPress’ easy to use content framework to deploy custom page templates right alongside a dynamic page builder, creating an endlessly expandable, and explorable, website.
Interactive Extras
We created a unique mobile navigation that is just as easy to use as it’s desktop counterpart, and accommodated the large amount of sub-pages for each section. To match the peaceful design, we implemented elegant transitions on certain elements, providing a welcoming feeling to the user as they peruse the content.
DVDO
Offering their unique brand of Audio/Video devices, DVDO sought out a web property that not only showcased their leading edge solutions, but also offered a Resources and Downloads section to support their current customers, with high definition navigation.
Problems We Solved
Given the very large amount of products and support materials that had to be entered from their old static flat file website, we leveraged Custom Post Types and dynamic template rendering via query strings to prevent duplicate content management situations, but also dynamic page templates and fast load times, as well. Sounds good to us!
Respicardia
Respicardia is the innovative company behind a patented, state of-the-art device that assists people with Sleep Apnea. They needed a website that would be flexible and dynamic enough to reach two very distinct target audiences: patients and clinicians.
Problems We Solved
As a biotech company, they had a plethora of information that had to be organized and integrated. Each section had different content layout requirements and had to be highly extensible without the need for much additional development. We deployed a Page Builder combined with Custom Templates to give them a site that has nearly unlimited growth potential.
HSC started their mission over 20 years ago and sought out to resolve the homelessness problem that plagued Santa Cruz. They’ve evolved to having over 230 staff members and they are the lead agency in the area working on homeless services and care.
Problems We Solved
HSC had compiled a vast Resource Library over 20 years and weren’t sure how to showcase it on their site. We used WordPress to create dynamic blogging functionality that doubles as a resource library and allows for recursive “drilling down” of topics and custom post formats for each of their unique content types; be it a video, publication, event, or blog post.
San Benito County Rodeo (SBCR)
SBCR hosts a long-standing Rodeo every year and needed a bombastic website to back it up. The site is deceptively large and needed a high degree of flexible content options!
Problems We Solved
Just about every page on this site had something new or different than other pages, so attempting to write unique page templates for each layout was not a viable option and would result in a bloated website. We instead opted to leverage a Page Builder and adapted the framework to SBCR’s content management needs, resulting in a highly extensible site that will serve and grow with the client’s needs for years to come.
